Ensuring the future workforce for the Australian chemistry industry is well-trained in an industry context and with skills to match the needs of customers, is a key focus of our innovation work.


Our university members offer a range of under-graduate and post-graduate programs aimed at providing a real-world experience for students.

C&PMIN

Chemistry Australia is a partner in the $6M Chemicals and Plastics Graduate Research Industry Partnership (C&PMIN). This inter-disciplinary training program supports 17 PhD students working with 12 leading companies to accelerate research and provide a real-world learning environment. This partnership between Monash University and Chemistry Australia is supported by Victorian Government funding.

ARC Training Centre for the Chemical Industries

Chemistry Australia is an industry partner in the $3.28M ARC Training Centre for the Chemical Industries, a new sustainable industry-led research and training program to support the development and competitiveness of Australia’s chemistry industry. The initiative addresses the industry’s need for highly skilled workplace-ready graduates, with a strong understanding of the industry context and experience in conducting industry-focused research. Led by the University of Melbourne, the Centre brings together University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, Swinburne University, chemical industry partner organisations and Chemistry Australia.
